Developing, Assessing and Validating Social Competences in Higher Education (DASCHE) – Erasmus+ project kick-off meeting in Warsaw, Poland
On 17-18th October 2017, the DASCHE project kick-off meeting took place in Warsaw School of Economics. Partner projects met to discuss organizational, financial and methodological aspects of the project.
The project partners are Universitaet Bremen (Germany), Akademiskas Informacijas Centrs (Latvia), Centrum Pro Studium Vysokeho Skolstvi, V.V.I. (Czech Republic), University Of Durham (United Kingdom), Universiteit Twente (Netherlands), SGH Warsaw School of Economic (Poland, leader).
The main objective of DASCHE project is to support policy learning between countries and higher education institutions in curricula development, assessment and validation of social competences of students. During the meeting Partners discussed research methodology to be applied in the project, defining the term “social competences” as well as the role of universities in society, the values of academia, teaching/learning and technical tools used to develop and evidence social competences. Partners presented the state of art and recent developments regarding social competences in HE in their countries.
The DASCHE project will last 32 months (September 2017 – April 2020).
