You have a foreign qualification (diploma) and You want to :

• Continue studies in Latvia;
• Work in a non-regulated profession

What documents should be submitted?

You should submit to Academic information centre originals or certified copies of your educational document and diploma supplement (transcript of records). If necessary translations and legalization can be asked.

What is a procedure on academic recognition?

AIC evaluates a level of your qualification compared to Latvian educational system and issues its statement. This statement together with educational document should be submitted to the educational establishment or employer.

Who makes a final decision on recognition?

Ministry of Education and Science - in order to continue studies at primary or secondary education level;

Higher education institution - in order to continue studies at higher education level;

Employer - in order to work in the non-regulated professions.

How much does it cost?

Academic information centre's evaluation is free of charge.
